Ethnic Aroma: A Taste of Israel

A Cocoa-Beit Shemesh Sister-City Event

November 1, 2009

From: Florida Today, Thursday October 29, 2009

Visit Cocoa this Sunday and you can get a taste of the cuisine and culture of Israel at Taste of Israel, the yearly gala that celebrates Coca's sister city partnership with the Israeli city of Beit Shemesh. "If someone can't afford to travel half way around the world, they can come learn, taste, see, smell and experience the culture of our sister city and its country at this event, " said Theresa Miles, the event publicity person. Hosted by the Friends of Beit Shemesh and Cocoa Sister City Committee, Taste of Israel is a  full-evening cultural immersion.

The evening featured the international dance team Sundance from Beit Shemesh, Israel and Cocoa's own sister city performing arts team: International Flair, under the direction of Theresa Miles and Kathy Mardirosian.
